I was recently set a challenge to have a go at homemade cocktails with Hey Blueberry Lambrini. I have to be honest, Lambrini is a brand I drank a lot of when I was younger and haven’t really bought since. Hey Blueberry is the newest Lambrini, it is a smooth and sweet, blueberry flavour sparkling wine.
Something very exciting is coming to Leeds this June, Leeds Loves Cocktails. Leeds Loves Cocktails is a 7 day cocktail event that wants to get Leeds drinking better not drinking more. What makes this different to the other cocktail events in Leeds is that the event is being held at different venues all over the city. Each venue is bringing its own twist and cocktails lovers will have to travel around the city to experience it. There are even restaurants who will be showing how to pair food with drinks. (more…)
One of my favourite bars in Leeds City Centre is the Nation of Shopkeepers. I love the quirky bar staff, the laid back atmosphere and the gorgeous wall murals. I was really pleased to be invited down for their re-opening party last week. And secretly praying the wall art was still there! (more…)
Veeno, the Italian wine cafe, have a new bar in the new Wellington Place business park in Leeds City Centre. I was thrilled to be invited along to the Veeno Selezione wine tasting event last Wednesday night. The Selezione experience brings you 2 white wines, 1 rose wine, 2 red wines and 1 sweet dessert wine along with the matching authentic spuntini (appetiser platters) to match each wine.
Last Wednesday night I went along to Ginanigans at The Botanist, Trinity Leeds, a charity event to raise money for the Tim Bacon Foundation. The Botanist is one of my favourite bars in Leeds so the invitation was perfect for me and I love that it was to raise funds for such a good cause. Ginanigans is a gin tasting and gin masterclass event with gin themed games in their “potting shed” garden. (more…)
