I have been hearing a lot about The Lost and Found Leeds Club recently. Both the food and the cocktails look amazing in all the photographs on social media. So, I was so excited to be invited along last week to try their summer menu and cocktails.
The Lost and Found Leeds Club Summer drinks menu
The Lost and Found Leeds Club have eight summertime cocktails on their adventure to spritzer land menu. They are all bubbly, fruity spritzes perfect for summer, especially with this gorgeous weather at the moment.
I have the Chambord Rosie cocktail. This has Chambord, hibiscus syrup, lemon juice, blossom bitters, rose lemonade, fresh mint and edible flowers.
It looks absolutely stunning and tastes just as good too. It is really fresh, light and fruity. I almost thought it was too pretty to drink, but you can’t let a good Chambord cocktail go to waste can you!
The Lost and Found Leeds Club Summer menu
Me and Ellie have two courses each from the Lost and Found Leeds Club summer menu. So, we decided to share a starter, have a main each and share a dessert. I can just never decide between starters and desserts so this is a great way to have a bit of both.
For our sharing starter we have the grilled chicken skewers. This is two chicken skewers in a satay sauce with spring onion, cucumber, carrot, lime and coriander. The chicken is tender and juicy and the satay sauce is creamy and tasty. The salad is the perfect accompaniment with it too. There is a lot of chicken on each skewer so it does make a good sharing starter for lighter eaters.
For my main I have the BBQ pork belly. A thick slice of pork belly in BBQ sauce with a potato and spring onion sour cream salad and chipotle and lime coleslaw. The pork belly is super tender and melts in the mouth, I really love the sticky BBQ sauce smothering it too. The cold potato salad is a great accompaniment, especially on a summer menu, and again it is really tasty. I am not too keen on the coleslaw, there is nothing wrong with it, it just isn’t to my taste.
Ellie has the meatball tagliatelle carbonara. This is tagliatelle with pork meatballs and bacon with a creme fraiche and egg yolk dressing. I have had a taste of this and it is amazing. The tagliatelle is perfectly al dente, the sauce is creamy, the bacon is extra crispy and the meatballs taste just like sausages. It is almost enough to make me regret my pork belly choice, which takes a lot! Ellie loves it and has a clear bowl.
Finally for dessert we have the raspberry sorbet with fresh raspberries and raspberry coulis. After both having such large, heavy mains it is the perfect dessert. Light, refreshing and just the right amount of tart. How adorable is the sorbet in a tea cup and saucer though? I want all my desserts like this from now on.
The Lost and Found Leeds Club venue and staff
The Lost and Found Leeds Club is a beautiful venue to eat and drink in. We ate in the restaurant on the top floor. This is really light and airy with huge open windows, perfect for the hot weather we’re having. Sitting in one of the open windows with the breeze, watching the sights and sounds of Leeds City Centre is lovely.
The venue has different floors and each floor has different rooms or corners to it. I love that no matter where you look there is something more to see, like this floral archway over a set of stairs.
We spoke to a few different staff on the night who are all really friendly and helpful. The waiting staff really know the menu and are happy to recommend things. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing, offered more drinks when they were running low and cleared the empty plates quickly.
If you are looking for somewhere to eat or drink in Leeds city centre and absolutely recommend The Lost and Found Leeds Club.
