Like a lot of houses with teenagers it has been a stressful few months here. Ellie has been busy revising and then sitting her exams. They are only her mocks, but it is still stressful for her. And me…checking she’s actually revising and not scrolling instagram. The exams are over now and even though she hasn’t had her results yet I’m a proud mama! Recently Bakerdays got in touch with me so I knew I had to choose a personalised cake for Ellie to congratulate her for finishing her exams. So, today we are celebrating the end of exams with a Bakerdays cake. Keep reading to the end as I have a giveaway AND discount code for you all too.

Everything is handmade to order, using the best and tastiest ingredients.

My Bakerdays letterbox cake review

Bakerdays cake open tin

Our Bakerdays cake is waiting for us after work and school. So it definitely does fit through the letterbox. It is in a super cute but very sturdy tin. The tin is the perfect size so the cake doesn’t move around going through the postal system or dropping through the letterbox.

The Bakerdays Well Done stars cake looks beautiful. The bright colours really pop against the stark white background. It is perfectly iced, each of the letters is really crisp with no errors or smudges.

This is the lovely lemon drizzle flavour sponge. You can smell the lemon as soon as you take the lid off the tin. It tastes as good as it smells. The sponge is light, moist and lemony and the vanilla fondant is delicious. There isn’t too thick a layer of icing either which I’m happy about as too much can make cakes sickly.

Ellie loves her cake and it was a great surprise well done present for her.
