Regular readers will know of my recent hair problems and know I have really upped my hair care routine the last 6 months. So, when I was asked if I wanted to try out the Forest and Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil I just had to. Anything calling itself Hallelujah hair oil sounds just what my dry hair needs.

What is the Forest and Shore Hallelujah hair oil

The Forest and Shore Hallelujah hair oil is an 100% natural and organic oil. It is moisturising, repairing, protecting and stimulates hair growth. Its blend of coconut, sesame, olive, sunflower and arnica oils are scented with rosemary and lavender. The oil is a perfect solution for anyone with dry hair.

My Forest and Shore Hallelujah hair oil review

I always like starting reviews with the packaging as it is the first thing you see and your first impression of a product. The Forest and Shore Hallelujah hair oil packaging is gorgeous. A thick, texture box holds a very heavy glass bottle of oil. I really love the monochrome botanical print on the bottle. The glass dropper is unusual and perfect for dispensing just the right amount of oil.

Using the hair oil is easy, just add a 2-5 drops to the mid lengths and ends of your wet hair. You’re able to dry and style it as normal afterwards. My hair is shoulder length but thick and very dry so 5 drops is right for me.

The oil smells amazing, the rosemary and lavender give it a real herbal scent. It is a strong scent that you get as soon as you open the box. Once my hair is dry I can still smell it but it isn’t overpowering.

I’m not finding the oil makes my hair greasy or weighs it down and I’m not needing to wash it more often.

I have also tried the oil as a serum after drying and straightening my hair. One drop is more than enough and smooths any flyaway hairs down. It would also make a great hot oil hair mask I think so I will try that on my next pamper night.

After 10 uses my hair is softer, feels stronger and is in better condition.

Each bottle has 100ml and is £15. Given that you use such a little amount the bottle will last for ages and is great value for money.

The Forest and Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil is something I will be re-purchasing once this bottle runs out.

  1. I have really oily, greasy hair but I love using oils to nourish it. Great to read that this one doesn’t make your hair any more oily as it should be good for me too xxx

    • Oo that must make it tricky to find an oil then? I’m the opposite as mine is so dry it just happily drinks all the oil up!

    • It is, I love trying new products but it can be so disappointing when they don’t do what they say or just don’t work on you. Nice to find one that does what it says!

  2. I really love lavender as a smell and having been looking for a product to help moisturise my hair as it’s not been the same since I gave birth a year ago. I will keep an eye out for this product and give it a go

    • Ah I remember the post-natal hair well, it’s a nightmare isn’t it. Definitely give this a try and see if it helps. I love lavender too, its such a relaxing scent isn’t it.

  3. Oh this sounds lovely. I love the packaging too! Even the font is cute. I’ve always liked the idea of using a hair oil, but I’ve never tried one. Would you recommend for normal-oily hair?

    • It’s gorgeous packaging isn’t it. I would still recommend it Sarah but I would start off with just a drop or two instead of the five I’m using.

    • Yes I really love that it isn’t greasy, some hair treatments leave hair so oily they’re not worth using don’t they!

  4. I was definitely expecting it to cost more! My hair is a nightmare. Greasy at the roots and dry everywhere else and I am really trying to find products suitable that won’t make my hair more greasy than it needs to be! I might give this a go on the ends of my hair.
