Strictly Come Dancing is a Saturday night ritual in a lot of households. It is a feel good, family show that makes ballroom dancing cool. A Saturday night TV show that all ages can enjoy. It’s a show of fake tan, sequins, beautiful dance moves and stunning costumes. We love seeing which celebrities will be taking part in this series show and watching their dancing skills emerge. Routing for our favourites and feeling sorry for the ones who can’t dance. (I sympathise as even the worst dancers are probably better than me!) We love laughing at Brunos extravagance and trying not to laugh at Craigs scathing put downs. Going to watch Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour isn’t something we have done before so I was so happy to be invited along.

Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour Act One
After introducing everyone the show kicks off with a dance routine by the professional dancers which the celebrity dancers join in towards the end. The celebrities are each paired with the same pro they are in the TV show and each dance one dance. Before each dance is a VT of the celebrity and their partner talking about their time on the show.
First up dancing the jive to Proud Mary is Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez. (You read that in the Strictly voice didn’t you?!).
Next is my favourites from the TV show, Susan Calman and Kevin Clifton dancing the quick step to Bring Me Sunshine.
Then Davood Ghadami and Nadiya Bychkova dancing the paso doble to Live and Let Die.
Gemma Atkinson and Aljaz Skorjanee dance the American smooth to Down Town.
Ellie’s favourite from the show, Jonnie Peacock and Oti Mabuse are dancing the jive to Johnny Be Good.
Debbie McGee and Giovanni Pernice are dancing the American Smooth to Memory.
And finally, the 2017 champions Joe McFadden and Katya Jones dancing the charleston to Alexander’s Ragtime Band.
The act closes with another big group dance routine with all of the celebrities and professional dancers.
At the end of act one the voting lines open and you can text your vote for your favourite of the night.
Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour – Act two
Act two starts with another group routine with the celebs and pro dancers.
Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez are first up again dancing the Quick Step to We’re In The Money.
Dancing the samba to Wonder Woman, Susan and Kevin.
Davood and Nayiya are dancing the Charleston to Lambeth Walk.
Next is Gemma and Aljaz dancing the paso doble to Viva La Vida.
Followed by Jonnie and Oti dancing the American smooth to Cry Me A River.
Then Debbie and Giovanni are dancing the salsa to I Love You Baby. And yes, it includes “that” spin again!
Finally the winners, Joe and Katya dancing the Argentine tango to Human.
Once all the performances have finished there are more group dances.
And then it is time to announce the winner of the votes. Susan won the Leeds night which I was really pleased about.
Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour – our review
Both me and Ellie had an amazing night at Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour. Seeing our favourite celebrities from the show dancing our favourite dances from the season is an amazing experience.
The dances are even more breathtaking in real life. Paralympian Jonnie Peacock dancing on his blade is really quite something to see. Debbie McGee is ridiculously flexible and I’m not sure how she can be spun around so fast and keep her balance afterwards. Susan Calmans wonder woman routine is even funnier than the first time I saw it. We especially love the big group routines. Watching everyone dancing together is lovely. All the celebrities have come on so much it is hard to tell which are the professional dancers at times.
The show is very funny with the judges comments, celebrities replies and the hosts humour.
The Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour is fab-u-lous and a great night out. It’s perfect for families, couples or groups of friends. We will definitely be looking to get tickets for next years tour.
You can get Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour tickets here and it is ballroom dancing through the country until February 11th.
*We attended Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour as guests of Norvell Tanning. As always this does not influence my thoughts or opinions.
