One of my new years goals is to up my skincare game and try new products in my routine. As I am mid-thirties now I especially love using products that delay and fight the signs of ageing. The Luvenesco luxury retinol moisturiser is my most recent trial and here is what I think of it.

The Luvenesco luxury retinol moisturiser is an active retinol cream suitable for women and men. Retinol cream fights the signs of ageing by diminishing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin. It ripens pores and is hydrating. The moisturiser has natural antioxidants, vitamin E, B5, jojoba oil, almond oil and shea butter.

It is manufactured in the UK, is not tested on animals and is cruelty free.

The Luvenesco luxury retinol moisturiser comes in a 50ml jar. The packaging is all black, which is unusual for skincare but I really like it. It looks great standing amongst all my white bottles on my dressing table.

I definitely prefer thicker consistency creams and this one is perfect. There is no running as you try to apply it and it smooths in to the skin easily. I do find I need to dip my finger into the jar a few times to cover my face and neck. The cream soaks in quickly and doesn’t leave a film or sticky residue.

I am using the cream in a morning after cleansing. It feels cooling and refreshing as you apply it and has a clean, fresh orange scent which I really like. My skin feels soft, supple and hydrated for the whole day.

I don’t have particularly sensitive skin but after several weeks of usage I haven’t suffered any reactions or breakouts.

The moisturiser is unisex but I (obviously) can’t comment on what it will be like on mens skin. I’m sure the black packaging and citrus scent will make it more appealing to them though.

I haven’t noticed any difference in my fines line after the few weeks I have been using it for, but I am really enjoying it as a day cream and will carry on using it.

The Luvenesco luxury retinol moisturiser is currently £16.95 and is available from Amazon below.

  1. This looks fab. I really need to take better care of my skin. I can slowly see the difference in it as I am getting older and the way I have always cared for it obviously isn’t working for me anymore!

    • It’s quite upsetting to see it creeping up isn’t it. Hope you find a new routine that works better for you Carly

  2. I’ve been using a new exfoliating product with retinol and it’s been amazing! It’s quite strong so I only use it 1-2 times a week. But I can already feel my skin being a bit brighter.

    • Oo an exfoliator with it sounds lovely! This is my first time trying retinol and I’m finding it amazing too.
