If you are a regular to my blog you will already know I’m a huge fan of smaller indie brands. I especially love indie beauty brands. I love knowing someone has loving though up and made a product, designing everything themselves from start to finish. So when the new beauty brand Absolutely Blendid got in touch to see if I would like to try some products I had to say yes.
Absolutely Blendid is a Leeds brand making handmade, natural beauty products using essential oils. All of the products are free of parabens and preservatives.
Absolutely Blendid body scrub
My first product from Absolutely Blendid is the Healing frankincense, patchouli and lemon body scrub. The scrub is made from dead sea salts and is perfect for easing joints and relaxing the mind.
Being a false tanning queen I do love a good body scrub. I like them to be strong enough to really exfoliate without hurting or scratching my skin. This one does the job perfectly! It exfoliates really well and leaves the skin feeling clean and new. The oils in it mean it is like a moisturiser as you rinse it off so it leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. The scrub smells divine too.
This scrub is £10 and will last me a good few pampering sessions.
Absolutely Blendid lip scrub
My second product from Absolutely Blendid is the cinnamon and vanilla lip scrub. This is available in a set with a lip balm for £6.
Now for some reason I’ve never tried a lip scrub before! After using this a few times I’m definitely a convert. It scrubs all the dry skin away but isn’t harsh at all. Afterwards my lips feel really soft and smooth. The scrub smells amazing and (I’m not sure you’re meant to eat it but) it tastes really good too.
I am definitely adding this lip scrub to my beauty routine. It will be especially great for nights I know I am wearing liquid matte lipstick so it has a smooth, chap free surface to stick to.
Absolutely Blendid Ultimate Blendid balm
My last Absolutely Blendid product is the Ultimate Blendid balm. The balm is infused with orange oil and has multiple uses. You can use it on problem dry areas or as a cleansing balm and make-up remover. The Ultimate Blendid balm is £5.
Using the balm on dry skin I’m finding a little goes a really long way. It is really moisturising and soaks in to the skin quickly. It has a gorgeous orange scent that lingers after you put it on and it soaks in.
Using the balm as a make up remover really turns it in to a pampering session. Use a cotton pad to apply it and rub it in then a hot muslin cloth to wipe it off. It does remove mascara easily but I haven’t worn waterproof mascara to try that.
The balm makes an amazing cuticle cream too. If you are doing your nails rub a little around your cuticles once you have finished.
Absolutely Blendid – final thoughts
All of my beauty products from Absolutely Blendid are amazing. They all work exactly how they should and do what they say. All three are super moisturising and smell divine. I think the prices of them all are really good too.
Nimisha, the owner of Absolutely Blendid, is so lovely. She clearly puts so much thought and love in to all of her products and it shows. I love that the beauty products are hand made at home by someone passionate for beauty without the nasty chemicals.
I would love to help Nimisha and Absolutely Blendid grow so, you can find her shop here and follow her on instagram here. Please do check them out and give her a follow.
