It has been a couple of months since I have done one of these posts. I seem to have had so much on I just haven’t had the time to share these. So today I am unboxing the September Degustabox. As always my Degustabox is £12.99 for a big box full of 10-15 yummy surprises. If you would like to try it out for yourself you can get your first box for £5.99 here and you can cancel your subscription at any time.
This month I am dog sitting for my friend so I have a couple of very excited, nosey helpers.
September Degustabox – Nestle Oat Crisp Cheerios (£2.49)
The first thing in the September Degustabox is a box of Nestle Oat Crisp Cheerios. I didn’t realise there was an oat version of cheerios so this is a nice surprise. They taste great and Ellie loves them. They are a definite winner for us.
September Degustabox – Santa Maria Latin America Kitchen Peruvian Garlic and Tomato Sauce (£1.85)
Next is a sachet of Santa Maria Latin America Peruvian garlic and tomato sauce. We haven’t had a chance to try this out yet. The sachet recommends using it with prawns but we don’t like those so I will probably use it with chicken and rice.
September Degustabox – Wild Planet Albacore wild tuna steaks (£3.49)
Now usually finding a tin of tuna wouldn’t be much of a treat. But the Wild Planet tuna is 100% pole and line caught which is amazing. Although it doesn’t taste any different I love how ethical it is. I don’t buy tuna often so as an occasional treat this won’t be too out of my budget.
September Degustabox – Knorr concentrated beef stock (£2.20)
The third item in the September Degustabox is a squeezy bottle of Knorr beef stock. The Knorr stock is something I already know and use a lot of so this is a welcome addition to my cupboard.
September Degustabox – Dream Rice Quinoa (£1.60)
Next inside the September Degustabox is a bottle of Dream rice quinoa drink. We are not dairy free and although I have tried soya milk I’m not usually too keen. This has a really unusual, almost nutty taste and tastes amazing on cereals.
September Degustabox – Mentos Mint Mix sharing pouch (£1.19)
Next inside the September Degustabox is a packet of Mentos mint mix. I used to love Mentos when I was younger so this was a really nice treat. They are exactly as I remember, a crisp outer shell and chewy, minty centre.
September Degustabox – Virtue energy water (£1.35)
There are 2 cans of Virtue energy water in this months Degustabox in berries and lemon and lime flavour. Unfortunately this has caffeine and as I’m allergic to it I can’t try these. I’m sure Ellie will be drinking them both soon though.
September Degustabox – Green & Black’s Velvet Edition chocolate (£1.99)
My favourite item in the September Degustabox is a bar of Green & Black’s Velvet Edition dark chocolate. Green & Black’s chocolate is my absolute fave and this is as delicious as all the other flavours. I will definitely be buying this again.
September Degustabox – Greens Egg custard mix (£0.69)
This Greens egg custard mix is a close second to the chocolate as my favourite item. I love egg custard and this makes a perfect version. You can make it in to egg custard tarts or just make a huge bowl of custard. (Which I may or may not have done AND eaten all to myself!)
September Degustabox – Santa Maria Latin America Kitchen Arroz Amarillo yellow rice (£1.85)
The next item in the September Degustabox is a packet of Santa Maria Latin America Kitchen Arroz Amarillo yellow rice. I am saving this to have with the chicken in the garlic and tomato sauce.
September Degustabox – San Miguel gluten free (£2.00)
The last product in the Degustabox is a bottle of San Miguel gluten free lager. I am not a lager drinker so I have given this to a colleague.
September Degustabox – Seriously Spreadable Squares voucher (£1.75)
There was another voucher this month for a box of Seriously Spreadable Creamy Squares. Cheese is pretty much my favourite food group so I will be using my voucher next time I’m shopping and trying these out.
September Degustabox – Final thoughts
Both me and Ellie really love this months box. There are a great range of products, some old favourites and some new to us. The value of the contents in the Degustabox is £22.45 which is well over the £12.99 subscription fee. We are definitely keeping our subscription going and can’t wait for next months Degustabox box.
What do you think of this months Degustabox? What item would be your favourite?
