I am super late in getting Mays Degustabox post up…so late that my June box is here now! So better late than never here is what was in the May Degustabox and what I thought of everything.

May Degustabox

May Degustabox – Cadbury Dairy Milk peanut caramel crisp (£3.49)

This chocolate bar is one of the new Cadbury Dairy Milk Big Taste range. It is yummy and very moreish! It is apparently perfect for sharing with family and friends….or like me you can eat it all yourself, because chocolate.

May Degustabox – Candy Kittens sour blueberry (£3.00)

I haven’t seen Candy Kittens gourmet sweets before so was looking forward to trying these. They are not too sour (which is good as I’m not too keen on sour sweets) and taste really good. I would happily buy these if I see them again.

May Degustabox – Cereal Lovers forest crunch time nuggets (£1.59)

Cereal Lovers is another new to me brand.  The granola is really nice, it’s very crisp with great flavours. I love that the bag is resealable too. £1.59 is a bit on the pricey side for the amount but I would get them to pack for travelling or a picnic.

Crabbies Alcoholic Ginger Beer (£1.89)

I’ve had Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer a few times in the past and love it so I was really pleased to find it in the May Degustabox. The ginger beer is perfect for summer, refreshing with a gingery burn. I have bought this before and will definitely buy it again.

May Degustabox – Deli Kitchen skinny wrap (£1.25)

I love the idea of a skinny wrap that is low in calories. Wraps can often be too heavy for me. Unfortunately I didn’t realise they had such a short date on them so I didn’t get to try them before they went out of date.

May Degustabox – Hippeas In Herbs We Trust (£1.50)

Hippeas are organic chickpea puffs, both the brand and product are new to me. I wasn’t sure what to expect from them but they are so nice. Very moreish and a great alternative to a packet of crisps. I will definitely get Hippeas again.

May Degustabox – Homepride Strong white bread flour (£1.50)

Both Ellie and I love baking so this was a great find in the May Degustabox. I can’t wait to try making our own bread with this when we have some spare time. I love the resealable box it came in, it’s such a great way to keep the flour fresh and safe in the baking cupboard.

May Degustabox – Millions chocolate covered strawberry (£0.50 each)

Millions are sweets I haven’t had for years! So this chocolate strawberry pack were a nostalgic find. They taste exactly how I remember, fruity, chewy and I love the chocolate coating.

May Degustabox – Millions sour strawberry (£0.60)

Unfortunately I didn’t like this flavour as much as the chocolate strawberry. As I said earlier I’m not a fan of sour sweets and these are very sour. I won’t be buying these but recommend them if you do like super sour flavours.

May Degustabox – Moma Bircher Muesli raspberry & coconut (£3.20)

Moma is a brand I have seen in the Supermarkets but never tried. Muesli isn’t something I eat often but I’m going to try use it in some baking. It tastes really good and would make great flavours in homemade cereal bars.

May Degustabox – Portlebay Popcorn sweet thai sriracha (£0.79)

Portlebay Popcorn is another new to me brand. I love popcorn and it seems really popular at the moment. Sweet Thai Sriracha made an unusual flavour for popcorn but I really enjoyed it. A packet of this makes another great alternative to crisps.

May Degustabox – Zeo sparkling orange & mango (£1.19)

Fizzy drinks aren’t something I have often so the Zeo drink is quite novel for me. It is very fruity and refreshing and I love the design on the can.

All in all I really like the May Degustabox and there is a good mixture of contents. The products inside are worth £21 (which is more than the previous couple of boxes) and makes the £12.99 subscription worthwhile. I’m definitely going to be keeping my subscription running.

If you would like to sign up for your own Degustabox you can do that here (or use the code HELENC-8E0B) and get your first box for just £5.99 instead of the usual £12.99. You can cancel a subscription at any time too.
