One of my favourite bars in Leeds City Centre is the Nation of Shopkeepers. I love the quirky bar staff, the laid back atmosphere and the gorgeous wall murals. I was really pleased to be invited down for their re-opening party last week. And secretly praying the wall art was still there!
The bar looks gorgeous for its make over. The lay out is still the same, it looks much fresher and there is some beautiful new wall art.
The courtyard, that the bar is famous for, has also had a re-vamp. I especially love the colour changing lights around the walls.
The summer cider and mojito cocktails are really tasty. I can see myself spending many a Saturday night here with the girls drinking them! Now the weather is getting better sitting out in the courtyard with them is lovely.
For the reopening night little tasters of the menu were brought around. The chicken wings, BBQ beef strips and burgers are especially nice.
The milkshakes at Nation of Shopkeepers are a really nice and tasty surprise. I am not sure if these are new or if I just haven’t noticed them before. I really recommend the salt caramel peanut butter milkshake, it is amazing!
The perfect finishing touch to our night at Nation of Shopkeepers was a live jazz band. Neither me or my friend are huge jazz fans but it is a nice end to the night and definitely makes a nice change.
I am really looking forward to spending more time in the Nation of Shopkeepers and will be back again soon!
