Aldi Lacura Renew Q10 Day & Night Cream review

I have been shopping in Aldi for quite a few years now, I’m a huge fan of all their food and who doesn’t love cheaper groceries? One of the things I have been avoiding trying though is their beauty range. I do have to admit I am a bit of a skincare / beauty snob and I do love the big, well known brands. Two little boxes recently caught my eye when I was shopping though so I had to pop them in my trolley to try out! The Aldi Lacura Renew Q10 Day Cream and Night Cream.

The creams are in a very minimal, clean looking cardboard box. Both creams are in heavy, 50ml glass jars which feel expensive and luxurious.

The cream has an SPF 20 and contains Provitamin B5 and Hyaluronic Acid that protect against premature ageing.

The cream has Coenzyme Q10, Retinol Complex and Avocado Oil that protects against premature ageing.

I really love the packaging of the creams, they don’t look out of place alongside my big name skin care bottles. Both creams have a lovely fresh, clean smell that lingers on the skin. They are very thick, a little goes a long way and they feel incredibly moisturising once on. As they are so thick I do find them a bit heavy for every day use. I tend to wear the day cream when I’m at home with no make-up on and the night cream a couple of times a week.

Each cream is just £1.69 which I think is an absolute bargain.

Although I personally find them a bit too heavy for every day use, the Aldi Lacura Renew Q10 day and night creams are great addition to my skin care routine and I will re-purchase them as they run out.

Have you tried any of Aldi’s skin care or beauty products? I’d love any recommendations of what else to try so let me know in the comments.

  1. Ooh these look lovely & im such a fan of thick creams. I will definitely have to try these when I pop to Aldi next, I have to admit I also avoid the beauty products from these cheaper supermarkets but I’m excited to give them a try!

    1. They are very thick (a bit too heavy for me for every day) but I’d definitely recommend trying them, for the price you can’t go wrong can you! xx

  2. I didn’t know they had beauty products. However your aldis may be different from mine. I’m not a huge fan of heavy creams but I am always down for a bargin.

    1. I think some Aldis are better than others for what they stock. I’ve seen some people pick up make-up which my local one never has.

    1. I was very sceptical too, as much as I love their cheap food I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about skincare. They definitely won’t replace my usual things but are a nice budget addition x

    1. They are very thick and heavy, I’m just using them when I’m having a pamper night or lazy day at home with no make-up on.

  3. This is a great review Helen. I’ve got very dry skin and love a tick moisturiser to help keep my skin at bay from dry flaky spells. I do my food shop in Aldi every week too and have been thinking the same thing “I should really try those but I can’t imagine they’d be as good as some more expensive brands I own!” You’ve made me eager to try them out myself! Thanks 🙂

    1. I’m sure you’ll like them if you like thick moisturisers 🙂 I’ve passed them by so many times thinking the same but I’m so pleased I decided to give them a try…the only problem now is I’m going to have to try the whole range out now haha

  4. £1.69 for a cream, that sounds like an absolute bargain! I’ve never tried any of Aldi’s products before, but I might have to give them a try for those prices! 🙂

  5. omg this looks like a must buy considering the price! the size and packaging is great for travel too!

    1. I couldn’t believe the price, they are a bargain. Oh yes they would be great for travel, I’d not thought of that!

    1. I’m using it now when I’m having a pampering day / night, it’s lovely as a treat a couple of times a week.

  6. I love Aldi’s skincare range. It does a great job for a fraction of the price of a lot of other brands 🙂 I think I would like these ones as I tend to use heavier creams in the winter time and thinner ones during the summer.

  7. I saw this in aldi and thought I would give it a try. I’m really impressed, it has really made my skin smooth and I don’t find it too heavy. I’ll be buying more! .

  8. I’ve used the day cream for years now and totally swear by it. The night cream however I tried but found it to be too heavy…keep up the good work Aldi…yeahhh to the Q10 day cream👍🏾👍🏾

  9. I recently bought these for the first time, and have been pleasantly surprised. I have quite dry skin, so both of these creams were a very good texture, although I agree may be a bit heavy for someone who doesn’t have dry skin.
