The White Rose Centre in Leeds has been undergoing a transformation recently. A big extension now houses lots of new restaurants. The new Wagamama at the White Rose Centre is the shop I have been most excited about. Despite being a huge Japanese food fan, I’ve never eaten at Wagamama before. Fortunately I was invited down to try it out for myself and see the new summer menu. Steve Mangleshot, the executive chef for Wagamama, was also there to talk us through the menu.
Wagamama at the White Rose Centre is set in the new, outdoor, section. It looks stunning and is just perfect for sitting outside for a meal on a summery day.
Jamie’s Italian is somewhere I have been wanting to try for the longest time but have never got around to. So when an email asking if I would like to try the new Super Lunch menu at the Leeds branch dropped in my inbox, naturally I said yes immediately! The Jamie’s Italian Super Lunch menu runs Monday – Friday 12-6. You can have two courses for £11.95 or three courses for £13.95.
On a gorgeously sunny day I went down to the newly opened Water Lane Boathouse in Leeds for a menu tasting event. Water Lane Boathouse sits on the canal in Leeds city centre and was formally the Pour House. This is my first time here, it is an absolutely gorgeous venue with a rustic, open feel and huge glass windows that look out over the canal.
I am a huge cooking fan and love making new meals from scratch. So when Gousto contacted me I couldn’t wait to try out one of their boxes for myself.
One of my favourite bars in Leeds City Centre is the Nation of Shopkeepers. I love the quirky bar staff, the laid back atmosphere and the gorgeous wall murals. I was really pleased to be invited down for their re-opening party last week. And secretly praying the wall art was still there! Read More
