Brunch is one of my favourite meals so you can imagine how exciting reviewing the Manahatta brunch menu was. Manahatta is the newest restaurant / bar to open on Greek Street, Leeds. It is bringing a taste of New York to Leeds centre. The large, glass fronted building that looks gorgeous as you walk up to it. I love the outdoor seating area too…hello new summer cocktail drinking area!
The Manahatta brunch menu really does have something for everyone, pancakes with various toppings, full English breakfasts, eggs, steak, french toast, avocado on toast and granola with yoghurt and fruit.
I chose the High Line Uncle Bucks Giant Buttermilk pancake, which is £7.95. A huge, thick buttermilk pancake with bacon, fried chicken and maple syrup. The buttermilk pancake, despite being so big, is light and fluffy. The bacon is perfectly crispy. The fried chicken is gorgeous, just the right amount of spice and really crisp. The pancake, salty bacon, spicy chicken and sweet maple syrup go together perfectly. It is incredibly filling and I could only manage 3/4 of it all.
The Manahatta brunch menu is amazing, there is a great choice, the food is delicious and the price is just right for the amount of food you get.
I have to say the dessert menu at Manahatta sounds amazing too. Especially the warm chocolate fondant and lime cheesecake with coconut meringue. I definitely need to go back and try some of those next time I’m in Leeds.
