Did you see my post on Monday about my most recent win of the newest Models Own collection? Today I am sharing Models Own Holochrome eyeshadow palette and I have lots of swatches and a review of it.
Go deep sea baby with this Holochrome Eyeshadow Palette. Intense iridescent cobalts, emerald greens and glimmering purples are swept over matte black shadow for an enchanting opaque finish. Enticing, pearly textures for eyes that are from another underworld.
Firstly I have to say the Models Own Holochrome eyeshadow palette has the most beautiful packaging. Both the box and palette are a holographic and duo-chrome metallic colour. It will, in my opinion, look stunning out on the dressing table or display and you definitely don’t want to stash this away in a drawer. The palette feels really sturdy and there is no need to worry about it in the bottom of my bag. It has a strong clip fastening too, so again, no need to worry about it when out and about.
Inside the Models Own Holochrome eyeshadow palette is 10 shades, 8 are holographic / metallic shades and 2 are matte shades. The shades can be worn on their own or over the matte shades for an opaque finish.
All 10 shades look beautiful, but once bright light hits them they really do become stunning!
The shades in the Holochrome palette are
- Luster – a golden nude with
- Vivid – a
- Opaline – a plum purple with
- 3D – a
- Prismatic – a baby pink with a shimmer of
- Deep sea – a
- Nacreous – a bright glittering pink shadow
- Luminous – a pastel purple shadow with a shimmer of
- Matte brown – a plum toned, earthy brown matte shadow
- Matte Black – a matte black shadow
It also comes with a double ended make-up brush, one end is the standard sponge application and the other is a fluffy blending brush. Although I probably won’t use this I think the blending brush is a great addition to an eyeshadow palette.
Here are the swatches of the palette on their own, both in natural light and under bright light.
And here are the eyeshadows layered over the matte black shadow.
I found all 10 shades are very pigmented and blend incredibly easily and a tiny bit goes a long way. They all look so pretty on their own or layered over the matte shadows. The lighter, shimmer shades will look so pretty on their own in the inner corners of the eyes I think. One shade I have to comment on is Luster, in the palette it doesn’t jump out at me but it really is gorgeous! I can see myself wearing this a lot, especially in the upcoming festive and party season.
Models Own Holochrome eyeshadow palette is £19.99 and you can buy it from their website here or in the bottle shops in shopping centres.
